Build your Vietnam budget from quotes
There is no verified current daily or weekly price for this guide. Use the same dates, party and inclusions when comparing options; keep unquoted items marked as unknown.
| Item | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Return travel | The whole-party return quote, including the bags and seats you select. |
| Accommodation | Price per room per night × rooms × paid nights. Confirm occupancy, board and any local charges. |
| Meals | Your allowance per person per day × people × trip days. Count only meals and drinks outside the board you already paid for. |
| Other trip costs | Transfers, local travel, activities, insurance and required extras for the whole party, plus any optional contingency. |
Add these once for the party total, then divide by the number of travellers for a per-person comparison. Trip days and paid nights can differ. Unknown costs are not zero. Use the editable trip calculator and comparison worksheet to record your figures.

When it comes to finding affordable lodging in Vietnam, location is everything. Savvy travellers often bypass the expensive city centres in favour of districts like the cultural Hanoi, where you can find much better value for your money. These neighbourhoods usually boast excellent transport links, making it a breeze to commute to the main sights while enjoying a quieter, more local environment at night.
Areas such as vibrant Ho Chi Minh City and the historic Hoi An are particularly well-suited for those watching their pennies. Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a trip to Vietnam cost from the UK?
Use current return-travel and accommodation quotes for your dates and party, then add meals, transfers, activities and required extras. This guide no longer publishes an unsupported daily estimate. Add your own figures in the calculator.
What is the cheapest time to visit Vietnam?
There is no verified cheapest month in this guide. Compare the same trip across dates you can actually travel, allowing for weather, opening times and your departure airport. Record the full total rather than assuming a low-season date wins.
Are there budget flights from the UK to Vietnam?
Check current schedules and fares for your dates, including connections where needed. Compare return fares with the bags, seats, airport access and transfers you need; this guide does not verify a currently operating airline or cheapest route.
What should I include when comparing holiday quotes?
Match the trip days, paid nights, party, room and board. Check baggage, transfers, local charges and cancellation terms, then add costs excluded from each quote. A package headline and a flight-only fare are different products.
Which UK airports offer the cheapest flights to Vietnam?
No departure airport is verified as cheapest here. Compare airports you can reach, including ground transport, parking or an overnight stay, as well as the return flight fare and arrival time.
