Build your Dubai budget from quotes
There is no verified current daily or weekly price for this guide. Use the same dates, party and inclusions when comparing options; keep unquoted items marked as unknown.
| Item | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Return travel | The whole-party return quote, including the bags and seats you select. |
| Accommodation | Price per room per night × rooms × paid nights. Confirm occupancy, board and any local charges. |
| Meals | Your allowance per person per day × people × trip days. Count only meals and drinks outside the board you already paid for. |
| Other trip costs | Transfers, local travel, activities, insurance and required extras for the whole party, plus any optional contingency. |
Add these once for the party total, then divide by the number of travellers for a per-person comparison. Trip days and paid nights can differ. Unknown costs are not zero. Use the editable trip calculator and comparison worksheet to record your figures.

Budget Tips To Save Money
- Ride the Abra: Skip the expensive boat tours and cross Dubai Creek on a traditional wooden "Abra" for just 1 AED (around 22p). It's the most authentic and affordable experience in the city.
- Eat in Bur Dubai & Deira: Head to these historic districts for world-class Indian, Pakistani, and Middle Eastern street food that costs a fraction of mall or hotel prices.
- Use the Dubai Metro: Avoid expensive taxis and use the driverless Metro. It's fully air-conditioned and connects the airport, Downtown, and the Marina for just a few Dirhams.
- Enjoy Free Beach Days: You don't need a beach club. Kite Beach and JBR Open Beach offer pristine sand, great facilities, and views of the Burj Al Arab for free.
Best Areas to Stay in Dubai for Budget Travellers
To find the best value, look away from the immediate beachfront and consider these areas:
- Deira/Bur Dubai: The historic heart of the city offers the highest concentration of budget-friendly hotels, authentic souks, and incredibly cheap local dining.
- Al Barsha: Centrally located between Downtown and the Marina, this area offers modern hotels at much lower prices and is perfectly connected by the Metro.
- Dubai Silicon Oasis: Slightly further out but offers fantastic value for money with high-quality, modern apartments and great local amenities.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a trip to Dubai cost from the UK?
Use current return-travel and accommodation quotes for your dates and party, then add meals, transfers, activities and required extras. This guide no longer publishes an unsupported daily estimate. Add your own figures in the calculator.
What is the cheapest time to visit Dubai?
There is no verified cheapest month in this guide. Compare the same trip across dates you can actually travel, allowing for weather, opening times and your departure airport. Record the full total rather than assuming a low-season date wins.
Are there budget flights from the UK to Dubai?
Check current schedules and fares for your dates, including connections where needed. Compare return fares with the bags, seats, airport access and transfers you need; this guide does not verify a currently operating airline or cheapest route.
What should I include when comparing holiday quotes?
Match the trip days, paid nights, party, room and board. Check baggage, transfers, local charges and cancellation terms, then add costs excluded from each quote. A package headline and a flight-only fare are different products.
Which UK airports offer the cheapest flights to Dubai?
No departure airport is verified as cheapest here. Compare airports you can reach, including ground transport, parking or an overnight stay, as well as the return flight fare and arrival time.
